SNB Foundation Presents the 12th RITACHHANDA Festival at Uttam Mancha, Kolkata
SNB Foundation, in association with Omkarnath Mission Parampara, presents the 12th RITACHHANDA Festival, a celebration of Indian classical music, dance, and young artistic excellence. The festival will be held on 31 January at Uttam Mancha, Kolkata, bringing together eminent performers and promising young talents on one platform.
The evening will begin at 5:00 pm with the Inauguration and Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a Programme by Young Talents and Prize Distribution Ceremony at 5:05 pm. The festival continues with a thoughtfully curated line-up of performances that reflect the depth and diversity of India’s classical traditions.
At 6:00 pm, acclaimed vocalist Kaushik Bhattacharyya will present a classical vocal recital, accompanied by Sayan Chatterjee on harmonium and Ujjwal Bharati on tabla. This will be followed at 7:00 pm by an Instrumental Ensemble, featuring Sandip Chatterjee on Santoor, with Subhasis Bhattacharya on tabla and Somnath Roy on ghatam.
The evening will conclude at 8:00 pm with a Bharatanatyam performance by Samrat Dutta and Shantanu, adding a visual and rhythmic culmination to the festival.
A special highlight of the RITACHHANDA Festival is its continued focus on nurturing young talent. The programme showcases performances by emerging artistes including Souparno Ghosh, Pratibhas Haldar, Shounak Majumder, Enakshi Paik, Anuran Samaddar, Anukalpa Lahiri, Prakriti Paul, Parimal Mondal, Sohag Chakraborty, Arpan Guha, Mayukh Chakraborty, Sanglap Chakraborty, Arghyadeep Debnath, Bhuvnyu Ghosal, Shibashis Lahiri, and Anik Das, among others.
