An enchanting evening of melody, rhythm, and musical brilliance captivated Delhi audiences as the Pradipto Sengupta Music Academy, in association with the Colorectal Cancer Research Foundation, Digestive Disease Foundation, and Medanta Hospital, presented Mandolin Wonders Orchestra – A Gala Musical Evening on Friday, 29th May 2026 at The Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

 

The special concert featured the celebrated Mandolin Wonders Orchestra, a unique ensemble comprising 11 accomplished mandolin players led by renowned Mandolin Maestro Pradipto Sengupta. The evening offered an extraordinary musical experience that blended soulful melodies, orchestral harmony, and beloved Bollywood classics.

 

The Mandolin Wonders Orchestra brought together participants from diverse professions and different states of India, as well as musicians from outside the country. Among the notable performers was Dr. Deepak Govil, a senior Gastro Surgeon from Delhi NCR and an active member of the orchestra. Apart from his musical pursuits, Dr. Govil serves as the President of the Colorectal Cancer Research Foundation and has been instrumental in spreading awareness about gastrointestinal and colorectal cancer.

 

Known for his exceptional contribution to Indian instrumental music, Pradipto Sengupta has carved a distinctive identity through his mastery of the mandolin and his innovative orchestral presentations. Accompanied by his disciples and fellow musicians, he led the audience on a rich and memorable musical journey.

 

The concert also served as a cultural initiative that brought together art, music, and community engagement through the support of leading healthcare and research institutions, including the Colorectal Cancer Research Foundation, Digestive Disease Foundation, and Medanta Hospital.
