Curated by Odissi dancer Shayomita Dasgupta, the festival seeks to celebrate Guruji's artistic vision, teaching philosophy, and enduring contribution to Indian classical dance through dialogue, documentation & performance.
Day 1
Seminar, Documentary & Interactive Discussion
Saturday, 6 June | 11:00 AM
The inaugural day will feature a documentary screening on the life and legacy of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, followed by an interactive panel discussion moderated by Guru Ratikant Mohapatra (Odissi Exponent, Dean, FACIS, Sri Sri University & SNA Awardee).
The discussion will explore Guruji's artistic vision, pedagogy, choreography, Guru–Shishya Parampara, and his continuing relevance in contemporary performing arts.

The second day evening will present a curated Odissi repertoire inspired by the artistic legacy of Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra.
The presentation will feature:
Performances by the students of Sangati – A Home for Odissi
A solo presentation by Shayomita Dasgupta
Guru Ratikant Mohapatra in a special artistic role of SUTRADHAR.
The evening seeks to celebrate the living spirit of Guru–Shishya Parampara through dance, music, and artistic continuity.
About the Curator :-
Shayomita Dasgupta is an acclaimed Odissi dancer, teacher, and founder-director of Sangati – A Home for Odissi. Rooted in the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra tradition, her work is dedicated to preserving and transmitting the values of classical Indian dance to future generations.
