Honoring the Legacy of Indian Classical Arts

Pracheen Kala Kendra is proud to announce the 54th edition of the All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya & Sangeet Sammelan, a six-day celebration of India’s rich classical arts. This much-anticipated event will take place at the Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh, from March 26th to March 31st, 2025, with performances commencing daily at 6:30 PM.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture (Govt. of India), the Sammelan promises to be a confluence of tradition, passion, and artistic excellence, featuring distinguished maestros and emerging talents in the fields of dance and music.

A Glimpse into the Festival

Day 1 – March 26

Opening Ceremony & Performances:

Shehnai VAADAN: Sh. Lokesh Anand with accompanist Pt. Vinod Lele (Tabla)

Kathak Dance: Pt. Rajendra Gangani with accompanists including Pt. Fateh Singh Gangani (Tabla)

Day 2 – March 27

Vocal Recital:

Vidushi Subhra Guha graces the stage accompanied by Vidushi Paromita Mukherjee (Harmonium) and Pt. Mithilesh Jha (Tabla)

Day 3 – March 28

Sitar & Sarod Jugalbandi:

A mesmerizing performance by Sh. Lakshay Mohan & Sh. Aayush Mohan, supported by Ustad Rafiuddin Sabri (Tabla)

Vocal Recital:

Dr. Nivedita Singh, with accompanists Pt. Durjay Bhaumik (Tabla) and Vidushi Paromita Mukherjee (Harmonium)

Day 4 – March 29

Kathak Dance:

Continued enchantment with performances by leading Kathak exponents

Day 5 – March 30

Shehnai VAADAN & Additional Dance Acts:

Reprising the soulful rendition by Sh. Lokesh Anand and collaborative presentations by Pt. Ramdas Palsule (Tabla), Pt. Milind Tulankar (Jaltarang)

Tabla Trio: Featuring Vidushi Rimpa Shiva, Vidushi Sangeeta Agnihotri, and Vidushi Sunayana Ghosh with accompanist Sh. Rajendra Banerjee (Harmonium)

Bharatnatyam Dance:

A dynamic performance by Sh. Samrat Dutta & Sh. Santanu Roy, with supporting artists including Smt. Mohana Iyer (Nattuvangam), Sh. Venkateshwaran Kuppuswamy (Vocal), Sh. Vignesh Jayaraman (Mridangam), and Smt. Soumya Kannan (Violin)

Day 6 – March 31

Odissi Dance:

A tribute to classical grace with Padma Shri Guru Durga Charan Ranbir & Troupe, accompanied by esteemed artists such as Guru Niranjan Patra (Mardal), Guru Abhiram Nanda (Flute), Guru Sukanta Kumar Kundu (Vocal), Sh. Pradeep Ray (Violin), and Sh. Prakash Chandra Mohapatra (Sitar)

Flute VAADAN:

Featuring Pt. Ajay Prasanna with accompanists Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra (Tabla) and Sh. Rishi Shankar Upadhyay (Pakhawaj)
