ThakurpukurChidananda Dance Academy Presents “Onkuran 2025”: A Celebration of Life Through Classical Dance
On June 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the prestigious ThakurpukurChidananda Dance Academy, under the guidance of renowned Bharatanatyam exponent PrernaGangopadhyay, will host its annual cultural event “Onkuran” at Madhusudhan Mancha, Kolkata. This vibrant celebration will showcase the Academy’s dedication to preserving and promoting Indian classical dance, particularly Bharatanatyam.
PrernaGangopadhyay, a post-graduate in Bharatanatyam from Tamil University, Chennai, and an award-winning performer, leads the academy with a vision to deepen the understanding and expression of Bharatanatyam. With over a decade of experience and rigorous training under distinguished gurus like Sri P.T. Narendran and Smt. SarojaVaidyanathan, she has been instrumental in nurturing young talent through the ThakurpukurChidananda Dance Academy since 2017.
